| Nicky loves Chardonnay so in a good growing season she will try to get her hands on some fruit – in 2024 we hand-harvested a small amount from neighbouring Matahiwi estate – just enough for two barrels. We foot-stomped and barrel fermented in a blend of Hungarian and French oak. Aged in those same barrels on lees for 10 months has given this wine a lovely round and creamy palate while holding on to a fresh apple fruitiness.

Pairs with – Fish and shell fish – mussels in a creamy herby sauce, grilled salmon or oven-baked Hapuka steaks. Roast chicken or carbonara.
