The winter truffle season runs from June through August, making it the ideal time to join and watch skilled dogs in action and savour the rich, earthy flavours of freshly unearthed truffles.

This Truffle hunting experience has you enjoying a relaxed mid-morning hunt through Fiona and John’s truffle orchard of Oak and Hazel trees – Akura Truffles. Accompanied by their trained truffle dogs, they want to share this short but wonderful season and experience with you.

When you’ve found some of these treasured delicacies, pop around the corner to Le Gra Vineyard and Winery for a fun and interactive 3 course lunch inspired by these little black beauties.

You’ll learn how best to infuse the truffle flavour into your food, taste some of the Opaki’s finest and freshly hunted in delectable dishes, and, if you so choose, pair them with Le Gra wines.
